Kamran Mahbobi

Cofounder and Managing Director of MaXentric Technologies, LLC, Kamran Mahbobi is responsible for setting the company’s product development and portfolio strategies, as well as managing MaXentric’s services operations. He has over seventeen years of experience in the design and development of wireless communication systems and technical research of advanced communications.

Most recently, Mr. Mahbobi served as the Chief Technology Officer of Tetra Tech Wireless, the wireless engineering division of Tetra Tech Inc. (NASDAQ: TTEK). He was also a cofounder of eXpert Wireless Solutions, a wireless engineering company acquired by Tetra Tech. Mr. Mahbobi’s responsibilities included the oversight of wireless technology R&D and hardware and software product development and support. In addition, he led the technical consulting group of Tetra Tech Wireless, which offered RF planning, program management and system optimization services in all aspects of wireless communications. Prior to forming eXpert, Kamran served as Staff Director, Technology Planning for NYNEX Mobile Communications.

In 1997, Mr. Mahbobi was awarded the prestigious E&Y Entrepreneur of the Year award in New Jersey for his exceptional achievements as an entrepreneur. Mr. Mahbobi has a Bachelor and Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art. He is also a candidate for a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at Columbia University.

Houman Ghajari

Managing Director at MaXentric Technologies, LLC, Houman Ghajari is responsible for setting the company’s business strategies, as well as managing MaXentric’s San Diego operations.

His main area of expertise is in advanced communication system design. Mr. Ghajari has a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering with a Minor in Math from San Jose State University. He received his Master of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of California, San Diego.

Per Johansson

Formerly, he was Principal Development Engineer at Calit2 (California Institute for Telecommunications and Information Technology, UC San Diego), heading the Wireless Networking Research group. During his time at Calit2 he was responsible for development and prototyping of wireless systems such as ad-hoc networks, software defined radios and sensor networks. From 1991-2006 he held several research staff positions at Ericsson Corporate Research both in Sweden and in the US. His expertise stretches from traffic management and performance analysis of data and telecommunication networks, to wireless multi-access and multi-hop radio networking technologies. Mr. Johansson also served on several Standards and Industry organizations (including the ATM Forum and the Bluetooth SIG). Mr. Johansson has a M.Sc. EE, -91 and a Tekn. Lic. EE -98, both from Lund Institute of Technology, Lund, Sweden.

Prasad Gudem

Tech degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, India, in 1988, and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Waterloo, Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, in 1996. During his tenure at Qualcomm from 2002-2018, he led the development of several generations of transceivers including the first integrated diversity receiver chip, the first integrated SAW-less receiver for CDMA2000, the first 28-nm integrated carrier aggregation multi-mode multi-band transceiver and the first 14nm highly integrated receiver and transmitter carrier aggregation transceiver chip.
